Theatre Raleigh will stream its live capture of the acclaimed musical Jane Eyre on August 31 at 7:30pm ET. The Tony-nominated musical, which received widespread acclaim during its recent summer run at Theatre Raleigh, will be available for one night only, with streaming access ending at 11:59pm ET.

Based on Charlotte Brontë’s 1847 novel of the same name, Jane Eyre follows a young orphan who is put in the unfortunate care of her cruel Aunt Sarah and cousin, John Reed, as per her uncle’s dying wish. After spending six years at Lowood School for Girls, Jane leaves and is shortly after hired as a governess at Thornfield Hall. There, she meets Mr. Edward Rochester, thus beginning her passionate and heart-wrenching journey of love, loss, and the struggles of morality.

The Encore Musical Theatre Company has announced the first tribute concert of their 15th Anniversary Season, paying homage to the iconic Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

Jersey Boys is presented in a documentary-style format that dramatizes the formation, success, and eventual breakup of The Four Seasons. I previously covered this show twice before. First, when the national tour came to DPAC in 2015. Then when it stopped at North Carolina Theatre back in 2018. Now, I've seen Theatre Raleigh's production, which is directed by Broadway's longest-running Nick Massi, Matt Bogart.

JERSEY BOYS comes to Theatre Raleigh next month. Performances run April 5 – 23, 2023. The production is  directed by Matt Bogart.
