On Friday, June 2nd, 2023 The Bushwick Starr held its Groundbreaking ceremony to mark the major moment of the start of construction on its permanent new home in Bushwick. The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College have announced a grant award totaling $80,000 from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) to support the recovery of the nonprofit arts and culture sector. Following New York state's historic investment for the arts, NYSCA has awarded $90 million since spring 2022 to a record number of artists and organizations across the state.
Applications Open For Rhinebeck Writers Retreat Summer Residencies

Applications are open to all musical theatre writers for Rhinebeck Writers Retreat's summer residencies. Nine teams will be hosted for nine consecutive weeks in the Hudson Valley between June 25 and August 27. Each writing team will have a private retreat to focus solely on writing their musical for one week.

Applications Now Open for The Drama League's 2023 Next Stage Residency

The Drama League will offer a second Next Stage Residency in 2023, through a Regrowth and Capacity Grant from the New York State Council on the Arts. This grant will support the organization’s celebrated umbrella of service programs, collectively called The Directors Project.
