New York City based comedian and actress Maeve Press is all set to make her UK debut at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year. The comic will be doing the full festival run and Fringe audiences will have a chance to see her show, 'Failure Confetti', which has never before been seen in the UK.

Today, Freeform announced the January 2020 premiere dates for the network's critically acclaimed returning series: “Good Trouble” on WEDNESDAY, JAN. 15 (10:00 p.m. EST), “grown-ish” on THURSDAY, JAN. 16 (8:00 p.m. EST), and “The Bold Type” on THURSDAY, JAN. 23 (9:00 p.m. EST).

Comedian Laura Merli (a writer for satirical websites Reductress, The Hard Times and McSweeney's) has announced new episodes of her podcast, How to Be Less Awkward, an independently-produced show that features comedians discussing horribly cringeworthy and hilarious stories in unflinching detail.

Freeform has picked up “Everything's Gonna Be Okay” to series with a 10-episode order. From “Please Like Me” creator, writer and comedian Josh Thomas, and produced by Avalon Television and Freeform, the half-hour comedy introduces Nicholas (Josh Thomas), a neurotic 25-year-old still living at home with his single dad and two teenage half-sisters, one of which has autism. He is not particularly helpful in raising his siblings, but when their dad becomes terminally ill, the girls have to cope with not only a devastating loss but also the realization that Nicholas is the one who will have to hold it all together.

Today, Freeform officially begins production on the pilot “Everything's Gonna Be Okay” in Los Angeles. Written by Josh Thomas, the creator of the critically acclaimed, heartwarming dramedy-series “Please Like Me,” the half-hour comedy pilot introduces Nicholas (played by Thomas), a neurotic 25-year-old who suddenly has to grapple with the loss of his father while figuring out how to be a guardian to his two teenage half-sisters.

David Sabella, who originated the role of Mary Sunshine in the smash-hit revival of Chicago (currently running at the Ambassador Theatre), will head the cast of Doug DeVita's award-winning The Phillie Trilogy, opening July 19 at The Wild Project as part of the 15th Annual Fresh Fruit Festival.
