A bastion of underground and freaky performances and performers, the Cavern Club Theater has recently begun its schedule of live shows, with next up Kay Sedia in THE TACO CHRONICLES opening September 3, 2021. A familiar staple at the Cavern Club Theater entrance as well as on stage, is the ever-effervescent Mr. Dan, who will greet you, seat you and spout off witty safety messages pre-show. Had the chance to delve into Mr. Dan’s mind to see what makes him tick!

CHICO’S ANGELS’ Frieda Laye will return live to the Cavern Club Celebrity Theater stage in CHICO’S ANGELS director/creator Kurt Koehler’s latest FRIEDA THE 13th: CAMP BLOOD.  This short, five-performance run beginning August 6, 2021 will also feature Julie Brown, Dustyn Gulledge, Jenna Perusich, Craig Taggart, Lennon Hobson, Kalan Tauck, Hayes Dunlap and Reba Areba.

CHICO'S ANGELS is set to perform a live theater comedy reading of their very first production PRETTY CHICAS ALL IN A ROW.  The one-night reading will air live on Facebook, tonight, Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 7pm PT.  The special event is bringing back most of the original cast members that played the roles on stage over 16 years ago.  It is a FREE event, so come and join in all the angelic fun of CHICO'S ANGELS.

TONIGHT Kay Sedia, Frieda Laye and Chita Parol take the stage at The Colony Theater in Burbank, CA with their newest show FLY CHICA! FLY!  Comic Icon, Julie Brown join Chico's Angels at their special guest star in this hilarious spoof.  

Kay Sedia, Frieda Laye and Chita Parol are very proud to present and share the stage with the one and only, Julie Brown.  In this hilarious spoof, Julie Brown plays a stewardess in distress who hires the Angels to save her Stewardess School. Flight attendants are disappearing and it's up to the Angels to fly the unfriendly skies and solve the case! Fasten your seat belts, turbulence just got spicy!

CHICO'S ANGELS latest episode FLY CHICA FLY will premiere at the Colony Theatre August 1 - 4, 2019. Birthed from the creative minds of Kurt Koehler and Oscar Quintero, CHICO'S ANGELS: FLY CHICA FLY's the eighth episode in their series of hilarious drag parodies of Charlie's Angels, the now classic television series from the late 1970's. After laughing hysterically at a number of their episodes over the years, I finally had the chance to turn the tables on Chita Parol and give her the third degree.

The Colony Theatre in Burbank has announced the return of Chico's Angels in their newest adventure, written by Oscar Quintero & Kurt Koehler. Fly Chica Fly is a live comedy production that parodies the 1976 1981 television series Charlie's Angels. Three of LA's favorite drag queens star in the title roles Kay Sedia (Oscar Quintero), Chita Parol (Ray Garcia), and Frieda Laye (Danny Casillas). In this never before seen episode, young hopeful stewardesses are disappearing, and it's up to Chico's Angels to fly the not-so-friendly skies. Can the Angels solve the case? Fasten your seat belts, turbulence was never this spicy!

The writing team of Kurt Koehler and Oscar Quintero have hilariously expanded their Chico's Angels' episode CHICO'S ANGELS 5-O WAIKIKI CHICAS from its usual cabaret form into a full-stage production. Koehler smoothly directs these three spot-on Latina drag performers inhabiting the three Chico's Angels - the 'all about me' Kay Sedia, the not-so-smart, double-entendre spouting Frieda Laye and the fake eye-lashing batting, lip-quivering Chita Parol. Their comic timing and smooth, effortless interplay's quite evident from their fifteen years of performing together.

Chico's Angels will celebrate 15 years of entertaining with a four show run of  Chico's Angels Five-O: Waikiki Chicas! at The Colony Theatre (555 N 3rd St, Burbank, CA 91502).

Kay Sedia, a seasoned performer of 15 years as the 'prettiest' of the three Chico's Angels, runs away (as quickly as one can in cha-cha pumps) with her latest one-woman show A WHOLE LOTTA KAY! A ONE-WOMAN SHOW. In this hour-long cabaret piece, night club manager J.T. has apparently double-booked two one-woman shows for the same night - Kay Sedia's and Lotta Slots'. These two big-coiffed divas duel it out in much hilarity for the benefit of the most responsive audience.

Another video from the Stages Musical Theatre Festival was just released this week. New Musicals Inc. aired 51 hours of live streamcast footage of musical theatre readings, concerts, creative sessions, as well as interviews with writers and producers, all part of the most recent Stages Musical Theatre Festival. The Festival ran for fifteen years in Chicago before New Musicals Inc. brought it to the West Coast about a decade ago.

Director Kurt Koehler spoofs (with co-spoofer Kay Sedia's alter-ego Oscar Quintero) a number of songs, slickly weaving the tunes into a cohesive (and funny) behind-the-scenes, most entertaining battle of a Christmas drag revue.
