Gettysburg Community Theatre, the non-profit 501c3 organization located in the original Elks Lodge building at 49 York Street within the first block of Lincoln Square in historic downtown Gettysburg, will offer a variety of theatre arts classes for children and adults this winter and spring beginning the week of January 9th.

When Cole Porter wrote, 'Anything Goes,' he could have easily been referring to New York cabaret circa the 2000-sies. One of the joys of attending and reviewing cabaret shows in the Big Apple these days is that every performing style, show theme, cultural perspective, political point of view, race, gender, and sexual preference is represented on a stage. Some cabaret purists may not agree, but the genre seems to have no boundaries in terms of what is acceptable and what is not. And as long as a show is entertaining, who cares about boundaries and strict definitions of what works in the art form? Here are reviews of three recent shows from Barbara Malley, Robin Kradles, and Donna Hayes that reflect the delicious diversity that is cabaret.

On Many April 20th MGC Productions presented Broadway Speaks OUT Live at The Duplex. The evening was hosted by MGC Productions founding artistic director, Martin Gould Cummings. Performances were given by Marissa Perry (Hairspray), Jay Armstrong Johnson (Hair), Donell James Foreman (Mamma Mia Tour), Justin Stoney (The Yeats Project), Lauren Elder (Hair), Adriana Devine Figliola, Elliot Roth and Jenn Lederer (Midtwenties:The Show).

Elliot Roth (Our Sinatra) and Jenn Lederer will be joining the line up of stars to perform at the Broadway Speaks OUT concert on April 20th.
Elliot Roth and Jenn Lederer were last seen together at the Manhattan Theatre Source in their production of 'Midtwenties: The Show'. Midtwentiess: The Show was produced by Martin Gould Cummings with direction by Anthony Hollock (Hair).
