Director Michael Canzoniero has just completed principal shooting in 48 hours around NYC for “Making the Day,” a feature length dramedy about two actors trying to raise money for an independent film. Co-directed by Marco Ricco, Stuart Braunstein and Bennett Springsteel and produced by Nikolas Zasimczuk, “Making the Day” may be at least the first feature film with principal shooting to be shot around New York City in 48 hours. Award-winning actors Bill Connington (ZOMBIE) and AnnMarie Benedict (ROBESON) will appear in A.R. Gurney's beloved classic, LOVE LETTERS, on Thursday, November 14th at the Colonial Dames Museum House at 215 East 71st Street (between 2nd and 3rd Avenues). Cocktails are at 6 pm; the performance is at 7 pm. The play is directed by Dan Cordle (POSSESSION) and will benefit historic Van Cortlandt House Museum in Van Cortlandt Park. ZOMBIE, the film based on Joyce Carol Oates' award-winning novella, continues on a roll. After winning 'Best Short Film (Horror)' at the Washington DC International Film Festival, the psychological horror film has won 'Best Short Dramatic Screenplay' for Bill Connington, and 'Best Supporting Actor' for Kelley Van Dilla. The psychological thriller was also nominated for 'Best Actor,' 'Best Director,' and 'Best Short Dramatic Film' at the Terror Film Festival, which was held on prestigious Rittenhouse Square in central Philadelphia.

The short film ZOMBIE will be screened on Monday, August 22 at the New York City International Film Festival. The program of shorts is at 11:35 am - 1 pm at the Abingdon Theater, 312 West 36th Street, 2nd floor. ZOMBIE is the last film on that morning's program. Tickets are $5.

Juliette Bennett, Bill Connington, and Anthony Haden-Guest, the stars of the film THE THORNHILLS OF PARK AVENUE appeared at the inaugural Gold Coast International Film Festival on June 4th on Long Island's famed Gold Coast, and at the NYC PictureStart Film Festival on June 6th in Manhattan. The film's production designer Nicola Walter also attended both screenings. GCIFF had a second screening on June 5.
