Matthew Martin Ward has made a name for himself as an accomplished Musical Director for many of New York’s cabaret performers, and now, he has taken center stage with his debut solo cabaret “What I Love” on Saturday September 14. When delivering patter, Ward’s distinctive wit was evident, with his deadpan comic delivery landing every time.

This year's MAC Awards honored NYC nightlife performers, songwriters, directors, musical directors, piano bar performers, behind the scenes technical experts, and more including Lee Roy Reams and Vivian Reed.

Last night, Friday, June 3rd, Opening Night at the Hollywood Bowl kicked off the iconic venue’s celebration of its first 100 seasons with a lineup of sensational performances featuring Gwen Stefani, LA Phil Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The LA Phil opened the evening with the world premiere of Centennial Overture, written by legendary composer John Williams, who made a surprise guest appearance to conduct the work commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Hollywood Bowl.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association announced today that it will reopen its outdoor concert venues—the Hollywood Bowl and The Ford—for the 2021 season. Based on Los Angeles County Public Health guidance, the Hollywood Bowl will be able to welcome a limited-capacity audience of approximately 4,000 when concerts resume in May.

Celebrated singer-songwriters Lucy Kaplansky, Richard Shindell, and Dar Williams, who together make up the acclaimed folk-pop collaboration Cry Cry Cry, have announced the digital release of Live @ the Freight, available now (here), recorded at the last show of their sold-out, 20-year reunion tour in 2018. The band's first full-length release in decades includes selections from their eponymous debut, favorites by each of the individual songsmiths, and some choice new-to-the-band tunes. The group made its mark uncovering hidden gems, bringing attention to fellow songwriters, and continued that process with these new arrangements of songs composed since 2000.
