National Alliance for Musical Theatre Honored with Mayoral Proclamation - October 23rd through October 28th, 2023 declared “NAMT WEEK” IN NEW YORK CITY. The National Alliance for Musical Theatre has been honored with a mayoral proclamation declaring 'NAMT Week' in New York City. The proclamation was presented in conjunction with NAMT's 2023 Fall Conference and 35th Annual Festival of New Musicals.
The Philly POPS and Comcast NBCUniversal Present MEMORIAL SALUTE Sixth Annual Free Public Memorial Day Concert

The Philly POPS announced today that the 2022 kick-off of its popular Salute Series, Comcast NBCUniversal Memorial Salute, will take the stage on May 27, 2022 at 7 p.m at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts. Registration for military, veteran, police, firefighter, first responder, and frontline worker communities and their families will be available soon through affiliated bases and organizations. Free tickets are now available to the public.

Van Nuys High School Students Write and Perform Oratorio about Climate Change

Requiem: This Earth, Our Home, a timely new oratorio written by Van Nuys High School students for the Los Angeles Master Chorale's Voices Within Oratorio Project, will be premiered by students and members of the Master Chorale on Friday, February 28th and Saturday, February 29th in the school's auditorium. The Friday performance will be for fellow students; Saturday's performance at 1:00 p.m. is a free community concert and open to the public.

Prospect Premieres 8 New Mini-Musicals This Weekend

This weekend, Prospect Theater Company, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Cara Reichel and Managing Director Melissa Huber, presents Message In A Bottle, a collection of original mini-musicals in concert, the culmination of Prospect's annual musical theater lab process. Message In A Bottle, the company's 13th lab production, will be presented on Saturday, June 1 at 7:30pm and Sunday, June 2 at 2:00pm at The A.R.T. / New York Theatres (502 West 53rd St, NYC). The lab will feature performances by an ensemble of Prospect alumni artists, and newcomers: Joanna Carpenter, Christopher Cherry, Diego Diaz, Ellis Gage, Alyssa Gomez, Sevan Greene, Jiho Kang, Patty Nieman, Allison Posner, Alicia Thomas, and Jeff Williams.
