The full lineup of titles and artists has been revealed for Seattle Opera's 2026/27 season. An exploration of love in all its facets, the company's 63rd season features two classic operas returning to Seattle for the first time in a quarter century.

Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company will present a free Lunar New Year celebration at Carmine Carro Community Center, Brooklyn, featuring interactive dance and cultural activities.

Not long ago, I was sitting in a café in midtown Manhattan with Beth Morrisson, president and creative producer of Beth Morrison Projects (BMP). BMP has been pushing the boundaries of traditional opera for 20 years and is now sole curator, producer and presenter of the indie-opera/music theatre Prototype Festival, with performances through January 18 in New York City.

The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company, the renowned international touring dance company founded by Chinese American choreographer Nai-Ni Chen, and now led by Artistic Director Greta Campo and Executive Director Andy Chiang.

Berkeley Symphony will conclude its 2025–26 Symphonic Series with FABLES AND FOLKLORE, led by conductor Carolyn Kuan. The program features music by Huang Ruo, Clarice Assad, and Antonín Dvořák, with guitarist Marc Teicholz as guest soloist.

Anchorage Opera will present Bound, a contemporary chamber opera by composer Huang Ruo with a libretto by Bao-Long Chu, in a short run at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts’ Sydney Laurence Theatre.
