In celebration of their 40th anniversary, Criterion will continue traveling the Criterion Closet Picks show to Brooklyn Bridge Park on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27 from 10am-6pm daily, in partnership with St. Ann’s Warehouse, where Criterion will also screen the best of its 15 years of Closet Picks.

ABC has released the official trailer for Doctor Odyssey, the upcoming Ryan Murphy medical procedural featuring Joshua Jackson and Phillipa Soo. The trailer also more casting for the series including Shania Twain, John Stamos, Cheyenne Jackson, and more.

The Criterion Closet is going mobile. In celebration of their 40th anniversary, Criterion has built a replica of their famous film closet inside an 18-foot delivery van, and later this month, they will be taking their Criterion Closet Picks show on the road across the USA, starting in New York City, with other locations to be announced.

Broadway performer Ethan Slater is among the slew of names that are set to appear in The Designer, a horror film written and directed by Em Johnson. Slater will star alongside Gina Gershon, Katherine Waddell, Jesse James Keitel, Michelle Hurd, Annie Golden, Jessica Belkin, and Gwendoline Yeo.

Celebrity Autobiography, the international hit comedy Broadway sensation and winner of the Drama Desk Award is returning to its home at the iconic Triad Theater with a recently added show on Tuesday, July 9th. Featuring Craig Bierko, Jackie Hoffman, TCM’s Ben Mankiewicz, Eugene Pack, Dayle Reyfel, Michael Urie, and Alan Zweibel.

The Alhambra Theatre & Dining will open its comedy, Boeing Boeing on May 23, 2004.  Set in the 1960’s, Boeing Boeing is a whirlwind of a farce revolving around American journalist Bernard Lawrence, who has his hands full in the romance department: he has three girlfriends, all stewardesses.

It’s been almost a week, but I’m still having trouble processing the loss of Chita Rivera. I expected to see her onstage again. What always struck me about Rivera, the ultimate gypsy (a term she clung to after others eschewed it in the name of political correctness), is, even in later years, she still seemed like a dancer first, a star second.
