In America, foreign nationals can be deported after serving prison sentences. Some of them are British.

Based on a true story, Evan Placey's debut play Mother of Him tells the story of a Canadian teenager under house arrest while he waits for his hearing. We eventually discover that Matthew (Scott Folan) has raped several girls at a sorority house along with a friend. Although we don't see the world outside - every time the front door opens, there are flashes from the paparazzi cameras and shouts from journalists who are camped outside the family home.

Full casting has been announced for Evan Placey's award-winning drama Mother of Him, which opens at Park Theatre on 18 September running until 26 October, with press night on Tuesday 24 September at 19.00 in Park200.

Park Theatre today announced their new July - December 2019 season. Featuring four World Premiere productions, two UK and London Premieres and a range of revivals from Broadway and the West End, the theatre also introduces a revised young person's membership scheme called Park Up.

A radical re-imagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic story, Jekyll & Hyde, opens at Birmingham Repertory Theatre on 18 April. Written by award-winning playwright Evan Placey and directed by Tessa Walker, this iconic story will be brought to life by a company of talented young performers aged 14 - 18 from Birmingham Repertory Theatre's youth theatre, The Young REP.

Opening this year's National Youth Theatre REP Season is the return of Evan Placey's Consensual, originally written for the company back in 2015 when it premiered at the Ambassadors Theatre. It's been given a major facelift as Pia Furtado's production, featuring a brand new cast, moves to the Soho Theatre - a space that seems perfectly suited to the intimate nature of the piece.

The show will open June 1st, 2018, at Theatre 68's MainStage Theatre.

The second REP show, which marks an exciting new collaboration, will see NYT present Frantic Assembly's award-winning modern-day Othello under the direction of Frantic's Associate Director Simon Pittman.
