Slow Burn Theatre Company will bring the ultimate feel-good musical to Fort Lauderdale this April with Hairspray, the eight-time Tony Award-winning smash hit, running Saturday, April 11 through Sunday, April 26.

Slow Burn Theatre Company will present BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL at the Amaturo Theater, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, from February 14 to March 1. This Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical chronicles Carole King's rise from teenage songwriter to a legendary music icon.

Gary Schweikhart, board president of the Carbonell Awards, South Florida's Theater & Arts Honors, today announced the top finalists in 20 competitive categories for the 2024-2025 theater season.

La MaMa will present the world premiere of Those Who Remained, a transformative multimedia solo show written and performed by Sophia Gutchinov about finding one's activist voice while navigating the complexities of identity, culture and tradition.
