TONGUES Reading Series presents a Staged Reading of AFTERMATH, a play created through the #Pages4PuertoRico collaboration to benefit the INDESTRUCTIBLE Campaign for Hurricane Maria relief efforts on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at 6:00PM at Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street in New York.

Cherry Lane Theatre will present INDESTRUCTIBLE: A Special Benefit Event, to help those affected in Puerto Rico and Mexico, due to the recent natural disasters.

48Hours in… El Bronx is a collaborative experience presented in association with our colleagues from Harlem9, in which 30 invited artists - 6 Latino playwrights, along with 6 directors and 18 actors - are challenged to re-conceive notable events/experiences from The Bronx into six different ten-minute plays.

After six years, the producing collaborative Harlem9 has played to packed houses and won and picked up an OBIE award along the way in 2014. This December, as announced at the 6th Annual '48HOURS IN... HARLEM' - a twist on the traditional 24-hour play festival -  Harlem9,  in collaboration with Pregones Theater PRTT, a Latino arts organization in the Bronx will present '48HOURS IN… EL BRONX'.  

The pre-Broadway World Premiere of Gotta Dance officially opened in Chicago on December 28, and will play thru January 17, 2016, at Broadway In Chicago's Bank of America Theatre (18 W Monroe St, Chicago), before opening on Broadway in the Fall of 2016. BroadwayWorld has just learned that Gotta Dance! which announced previously that it was aiming for Broadway in 2016 and targeting the Spring, has now shifted plans to the Fall of 2016, due to theatre availability. 

The Theatre School at DePaul University will honor Andre De Shields with the 2015 Award for Excellence in the Arts tonight, November 9 at the Atlantic Ballroom of the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel (221 North Columbus Drive), Chicago, IL.
