Play readings, musicals, comedies and dramas are back on the stage for PCPA’s 2021-22 season, presented in three venues on the Central Coast. Interplay Play Readings are returning to the Severson Theatre September 23rd through 25th. Two fresh picked plays Quack and The Humans.
PCPA InterPlay Returns With Four New Play Readings

PCPA brings back InterPlay readings from February 26 through March 20 - with four new plays, each being read twice over the course of four weekends. The readings are all live streamed via Zoom. The series includes The Mountaintop, Into the Breeches!, Two Degrees, and Fade. Performances are 7pm Fridays and 1:30pm on Saturdays. $10 per viewer or $40 for all four.

While focused on literal witch hunts, it is also an allegory for any number of misguided crusades through the ages, including ominous opinions against select groups of people in our current state of the world.

On January 5, 2018, Lakewood Theatre Company brings to the stage the world premiere of C.S. Whitcomb's adaptation of Christopher Morley's debut novel Parnassus on Wheels. This is the story of a strong, smart woman trying to find her path and create a worthy destiny for herself in a man's world a world where women don't even yet have the right to vote. It is also the story of first love arriving surprisingly in middle age, and a celebration of the love of good books and how they can enrich the hardworking lives of poor, dirt farmers and small town folks. At times both comical and affectionate, Parnassus On Wheels continues to remain as relevant as it did when it was first released 100 years ago

On Tuesday, June 30, 2015, Lakewood Theatre Company/Lakewood Center for the Arts held its annual meeting and OTAS (Oregon Theatrical Awards Society) presentation at the Lakewood Center to celebrate the closing of its 62nd season of plays and its 44th annual OTAS Awards. Emcee for the evening was Alan Shearman, a frequent Lakewood stage director and past OTAS award winner and upcoming director of Lakewood's 2015/16 season production of Bullshot Crummond: The Evil Eye of Jabar and the Invisible Bride of Death.
