Northern Kentucky University’s School of the Arts (SOTA) continues its on-tour theatre season with the regional premiere of the Olivier Award-winning musical, Amélie, at The Carnegie Theatre in Covington, KY.

With AMELIE in its third month at the Criterion Theatre in the UK and a new cast album widely available since last summer, the quirky musical is establishing itself as a fan-favorite. 

Amélie, which is now on stage at Mercury Theatre, is a musical is based on the romantic comedy film of the same name.

After a 15-month shutdown due to the COVID-19 epidemic, proprietors Steve Baruch, Richard Frankel, and Tom Viertel have announced that “Broadway’s Supper Club” Feinstein’s/54 Below will reopen its iconic red door for live performances on June 17, 2021. 

Tomorrow, March 14, the 63rd GRAMMY Awards air on CBS, and of the 83 categories, Broadway fans are zeroed in on just six nominees- the competitors for Best Musical Theater Album.

The awards nominated six musicals from Broadway, Off-Broadway, and the West End - 'Jagged Little Pill,' 'American Utopia,' 'Little Shop of Horrors,' 'The Prince of Egypt,' 'Soft Power,' and Amélie.'

The enchanting new musical, Amélie will make it's way to the main stage at the Turku City Theater Sept. 12 through Dec. 31, 2019.

The American Theatre Wing (Heather Hitchens, President & CEO) announced today that the 2018 Jonathan Larson® Grants recipients areJay Adana (music and lyrics), Andrew R. Butler & Andrew Farmer (music, lyrics, and book), Emily Kaczmarek & Zoe Sarnak (music, lyrics, and book), and Mark Sonnenblick(music and lyrics). Four prestigious, unrestricted grants of $10,000 each, as well as additional support in the form of residencies, concerts, and recording grants, totaling over $48,000, will be presented on Monday, March 19, 2018 at a private event at the WNYC Greene Space. The event will feature special performances of the recipients' work.
