Mimi Stern-Wolfe, pianist, and Laura Wolfe, singer/songwriter, will appear Sunday December 14 at 7 PM at The Pangea in a delightful program of songs by Joni Mitchell, original songs by Laura, a Harold Rome favorite, and some Lower East Side-influenced music by the mother & daughter team who are longtime Lower East Side residents.
MTC School of Performing Arts Presents Master Class with Broadway's Kevin Duda

Music Theatre of Connecticut (MTC) School of Performing Arts will be presenting a series of Master Classes for young performers who are interested in learning from Broadway professionals. The first in the series focuses on Musical Theatre Audition Technique, and will feature Kevin Duda, from the original Broadway cast of the musical sensation 'The Book of Mormon' and currently appearing on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning 'Beautiful: The Carol King Musical.' The Master Class will take place on Sunday, October 19 from 10am-12:30pm and will take place at MTC, 509 Westport Avenue (behind Jones New York and Nine West Outlet) in Norwalk, CT. The Denver Center Theatre Company presents the highly anticipated new adaptation of Meredith Willson's classic musical, THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN. Based on the book by Richard Morris, the revitalized production will feature a new book and additional lyrics by three-time Tony Award nominee Dick Scanlan (Thoroughly Modern Millie) and showcase never before heard songs from Willson's prolific body of work with musical adaptation by Michael Rafter(Violet). The Broadway League and The Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) featured special guest performers Andy Karl, Jarrod Spector, Lindsay Mendez and Adam Heller in the sixth annual Broadway Salutes event on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2014. Four-time Tony® Award winning playwright and actor Harvey Fierstein was the host. This public celebration honored the countless professionals who have made Broadway great. In this industry-wide celebration, theatre professionals received special recognition for having worked 25, 35, and 50+ years on Broadway. Directed by Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carol King Musical), Broadway Salutes took place at Anita's Way, the public space next to the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (West 42nd to West 43rd Streets- between Sixth Avenue and Broadway) located in the heart of the theatre district.

Actors/singers David Burnham and Valerie Perri were critically acclaimed costars of Musical Theatre West's (MTW) Sunset Boulevard last season, but they have never sung together in cabaret until now. Together Again For the First Time premiered at Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal on Sunday September 21, and with the opening number 'It's a Grand Night for Broadway' to the strains of 'Its a Grand Night for Singing', no finer words could appraise the evening. Accompanied on the piano and at various points in song by superior musical director Mark Vogel the trio knocked it out of the park.
