BIO
Jane is a graduate of University of Michigan where she earned her BFA in Musical Theatre before relocating to New York City. She released her first EP, It’s You, in November of 2017, featuring several quirky and offbeat songs that turned journal entries into acoustic and intimate expressions of love and loss.
Jane wrote her first song at the age of six on a thumb piano about the devastating death of Mittens the kitten. She continues to find musical inspiration from artists such as: Aimee Mann, Elliott Smith, Laura Marling, Iron and Wine, Fiona Apple, and Joni Mitchell. Her music has recently been shared at Rockwood Music Hall, Bowery Electric, and the Apollo.
She made her Broadway debut in the Alanis Morissette musical “Jagged Little Pill”, after appearing in the World Premiere at American Repertory Theater. She’s also appeared in and contributed music for “Original Sound” (Cherry Lane, Drama Desk Nominee for Best Music in a Play), The Other Josh Cohen (Off-Broadway), The Ballad of Little Jo (Two River Theatre, Original Cast Recording), and The Theory of Relativity (Goodspeed Opera House).
Currently, Jane is finishing up her newest album My Bed, which she began writing during her time in Boston with Jagged Little Pill.
