Stage performer and concert artist Scarlett Strallen – a favorite in London’s West End for her leading roles in “Mary Poppins,” “A Chorus Line,” and “HMS Pinafore,” and on Broadway in “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” and “Travesties” – made such an impression in her debut appearance with conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops in “Broadway Today! Broadway’s Modern Masters” earlier this year that she’s already been asked back.

Cast Set for the Criterion Theatre's 150th Anniversary Gala Performance
To celebrate its 150th anniversary, the Criterion Theatre will host a special gala performance on 24 June 2024 at the historic venue in the heart of London’s West End. Directed by Michael Fentiman, the gala will be hosted by Stephen Fry, celebrating the theatre’s rich history featuring songs, sketches and scenes from the last 150 years.

Stephen Schwartz's 70s musical Pippin makes a triumphant return with a note perfect casting at Drury Lane's concert version, with Fosse-inspired choreography and costumes given a disco pride vibe. Alex Newell's vocals do not disappoint, Jac Yarrow is a fine lead, while Patricia Hodge is a poignant Berthe.
