BIO

Ziyan Yang is a composer and playwright based in New York. Originally from Yunnan, he studied composition at China Conservatory of Music and he holds an MFA in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU where he was a Tisch Fellow. His works include musical Ti'Mon (Obsidian Theatre Festival), The Song of The Earth (Eugene O'Neill NMTC Semifinalist), opera Chips!, The Tell-Tale Heart, play Burning Clouds. His works have been performed at iconic venues in NYC such as Joe’s Pub at the Public Theatre, Kaufman Music Center, Hudson Guild Theatre and The Theatre for the New City.
