Rirkrit Tiravanija Unveils Exhibition and New Opera Production
In a de-centralised exhibition from 5 to 29 May 2023, Haus der Kunst is showing works by the artist Rirkrit Tiravanija (b. 1961, Buenos Aires) at various sites in the building. In a first collaboration between Haus der Kunst and the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the exhibition takes place at the same time as Toshio Hosokawa's opera Hanjo, which will be performed in the Westgalerie of Haus der Kunst and for which Rirkrit Tiravanija has created the stage design.

Toshio Hosokawa's HANJO Comes to NYU Skirball Next Month
NYU Skirball will present the North American premiere of Toshio Hosokawa’s Hanjo, directed by Luca Veggetti and produced by Catapult Opera, on Friday, September 30 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, October 2 at 2:00 pm at NYU Skirball. Neal Goren conducts.
Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival Announces 2022 Season
The 17th Annual Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival has announced its September program titled Tutti Frutti Tennessee Williams. The 2022 roster will feature six plays by Tennessee Williams, the first time the Festival will feature an All-Williams lineup since their first year in 2006.
The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans to Stage IN THE BAR OF A TOKYO HOTEL
The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans's staging of In the Bar of a Tokyo Hotel goes up March 25th to coincide with the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival. This will be the company's 5th collaboration with the festival, and a production that has been requested by dozens of theatre-and-festival-goers since the company's creation. Actors from as close as New Orleans and as far away as Japan are involved with the show.
