Meredith Monk Will Perform as Part of the 2021-22 Mills Music Now Concert Series Season
Internationally acclaimed composer, director and performer Meredith Monk will premiere concert performances of her upcoming interdisciplinary, evening-length music theater work, Indra's Net, on November 12 & 13. Presented by Mills Performing Arts and The House Foundation for the Arts, with the Mills College Music Department.

Joseph V. Melillo, executive producer of the Brooklyn Academy of Music, today announced programming for the BAM 2018 Winter/Spring Season. The season runs from January 15 through June 23 and includes theater, dance, music, and other live events in the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House, BAM Harvey Theater, and BAM Fisher. Building on her rich BAM legacy and presented as part of her 50th season, Meredith Monk offers the NY premiere of her newest music-theater work, On Behalf of Nature, a mesmerizing hymn to compassion. Inspired by the Buddhist conception of oneness and poet Gary Snyder's idea of the artist as 'spokesperson for non-human entities,' On Behalf of Nature reaffirms our indissoluble connection to the natural realm.

REDCAT to Present Los Angeles Premiere of SONGS OF ASCENSION
As part of REDCAT's Fall 2008 season, CalArts will present the Los Angeles premiere of Songs of Ascension, a new evening-length work from composer, singer, director/choreographer Meredith Monk and the renowned visual artist Ann Hamilton, for five performances only, October 29 - November 2 at REDCAT, the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater.
