BIO

Yolanda Wyns is one of New York City's most popular, exciting, and versatile performers -- a young lady with a powerful voice, an engaging personality, and delightful style that continues to thrill audiences around the world.

As an actor she has appeared in Broadway's The Color Purple as one of the three Church Ladies and understudied the role of Sofia.

As a vocalist she has appeared on legendary stages such as the Apollo Theater, Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and Avery Fisher Hall and throughout Europe and Asia.

Yolanda studied at Manhattan School of Music. She expanded her reach as a performer working with renowned artists such as Freddie Jackson, Stephanie Mills, Angie Stone, and Patti Austin.

Her recordings include her 2005 release, "Many Faces," showcasing her songwriting talent and preference for moody, mid-tempo, classically inspired performances. Her 2002 gospel release, "A Live Recording of Praise and Worship," received international critical acclaim. Selections from that album, her solo debut, became a staple of major market radio and television programming such as New York City's WBLS and BET's Bobby Jones Gospel.
