Langson IMCA Presents New Exhibition BOHEMIAN OF THE ARROYO SECO: IDAH MEACHAM STROBRIDGE
UCI Jack and Shanaz Langson Institute and Museum of California Art (Langson IMCA) will present a new exhibition featuring the work of influential artists who were part of a creative community active in the early 1900s along the banks of the Arroyo Seco in Los Angeles County, California. Bohemian of the Arroyo Seco: Idah Meacham Strobridge is the first exhibition exploring the impact this pioneering gallerist and writer had on the development of Los Angeles culture during this period.
Langson IMCA to Present Two Concurrent Exhibitions This Fall
For the first time, in fall 2022, UCI Jack and Shanaz Langson Institute and Museum of California Art (Langson IMCA) will present two concurrent exhibitions. The first exhibition, Dissolve, comprises 20 works-including two new commissions-by artists who explore modes of transformation across mediums in their diverse practices.
Exhibition Of Southern California Impressionism Opens At Langson IMCA On June 11
UC Irvine Jack and Shanaz Langson Institute and Museum of California Art (Langson IMCA) will reopen its interim gallery at 18881 Von Karman Avenue on June 11, 2022, with the special exhibition Variations of Place: Southern California Impressionism in the Early 20th Century. The gallery has been closed since February 13, 2022, due to renovations in the Airport Tower building where Langson IMCA is currently located.
