Awards Announced For 2018 San Diego International Film Festival
The San Diego International Film Festival (SDiFF), produced by the San Diego Film Foundation, announced today that they have honored Alex Wolff, from the Spotlight presentation "Stella's Last Weekend," with the Auteur Award and Dominique Fishback, from the Gala Presentation "The Hate U Give," with the Rising Star Award. The awards will be presented October 11th at The Night of the Stars Tribute at the Pendry San Diego in Downtown San Diego, CA.
Art Institute Chicago Announces $10 Million Commitment
Retiring President and Eloise W. Martin DirectorDouglas Druick announced today that The Grainger Foundationhas generously committed to the museum endowment funds of $10 million to realize the long-term vision and ambitions of the Art Institute's Department of Conservation. Founded with a single conservator nearly 60 years ago, the Art Institute's Department of Conservation has now grown to include specialists across all media who help to authenticate, identify, preserve, research, and store our collection, and conservation scientists who focus on materials research of unparalleled intellectual breadth. The department has assumed a central place in all of the museum's activities, contributing to scholarship on our holdings and informing special exhibitions, publications, and education offerings.
Finborough Scales Back THE WALLACE to Staged Reading, Sept 15
Finborough Theatre regrets that, due to funding issues, they have had to cancel the planned full production of The Wallace. Instead, Finborough will be presenting a staged reading of the play for one performance only on Monday, 15 September 2014 at 7.30pm.

The last few times I've seen a production at St. Edwards University's Mary Moody Northern Theatre, I've had to remind myself that I'm viewing a show featuring a cast of mostly college students. Every time, the production is of professional quality, and their current production of The Secret Garden is no exception. All audience members are bound to be mesmerized by the physical beauty of the stagecraft and the incredible performances.

The record-breaking West End show Horrible Histories - Barmy Britain is charging up to the Pleasance Courtyard for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer. This special Edinburgh production introduces William Wallace and Burke and Hare into the horrible history of Britain and will run from 3rd - 26th August 2012.
