BIO

William Bezek is a Dora Award nominated set and costume designer who studied fine art at The Academy of Art in San Francisco. Will is the resident designer at The Lunar Stratagem, a non profit theatre company. Recent scenic and costume design include: SPRING AWAKENING (Argyle Theatre, Babylon, New York), BRAINSTORM (Toronto Fringe, Ontario Canada), THE TEMPEST (Shakespeare at Griffith Park, Los Angeles, California), LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES (Warehouse Theatre, Greenville, South Carolina), TAMING OF THE SHREW and EMPEROR OF THE MOON (International Theatre program, University of Rochester, New York), AY CARMELA! (Spanish Rep, NYC), [GLUG], CAN YOU FORGIVE HER?, DEAD LETTER OFFICE (Marshall University, Huntington, West Virginia), I CA$$IE?OR THE END OF DAYS (English Theater, Berlin Germany), POOR LITTLE LULU (Cleveland Public Theatre, Cleveland, Ohio), THE UNDERPANTS (Beck Center, Cleveland, Ohio), TIGERS BE STILL (Dobama Theater, Cleveland, Ohio). Will currently lives in New York with his husband, theater director Matthew Earnest.

Churchtown Dairy Launches Theatrical Series with THE MADWOMAN OF CHAILLOT

Executive Director Kam Bellamy announces Churchtown Dairy's first-ever theatrical venture: The Dairy presents The Madwoman of Chaillot, written by Jean Giradoux and adapted by Maurice Valency, in a production by innovative theatre company The Lunar Stratagem, running July 19-27, 2019 in the unique and architecturally striking Round Barn.

Long Island's newest theatrical venue The Argyle Theatre (Mark and Dylan Perlman, Managing Partners; Evan Pappas, Artistic Director) presents the Tony Award-winning musical Spring Awakening, based on the play by Frank Wedekind, with book and lyrics by Steven Sater, music and orchestrations by Duncan Sheik, string orchestrations by Simon Hale, and vocal arrangements by Annmarie Milazzo. Performances began January 17, 2019 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 24, 2019 at The Argyle Theatre (34 West Main Street, Babylon, Long Island). Opening Night was Saturday evening, January 19, 2019.

This summer INDEPENDENT SHAKESPEARE CO. presents an imaginative production of Shakespeare's final play, THE TEMPEST, featuring Thom Rivera as Prospero and directed by Matthew Earnest.  THE TEMPEST will begin previews at THE GRIFFITH PARK FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL on Saturday, July 30 at 7pm and will open on Saturday, August 6 at 7:00pm and perform through Sunday, September 4 at the Old Zoo in Griffith Park.  All ISC Summer Shakespeare productions are FREE to the public!  THE TEMPEST is the second of two productions being presented at this year's GRIFFITH PARK FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL. RICHARD III played June 25 - July 24.
