The Wallace Foundation today released Navigating Uncertain Times: A Scenario Planning Toolkit for the Arts & Culture Sector developed by AEA Consulting and designed to help arts and culture organizations approach planning for a future marked by various uncertainties, including the far-reaching effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, social justice movements, climate change, emerging technologies, and other unforeseen circumstances.
The Wallace Foundation Announces New Director Of Research
Bronwyn Bevan has been selected as The Wallace Foundation's new Director of Research, effective August 19, 2019, the foundation announced today. Currently a Senior Research Scientist at the University of Washington Seattle, College of Education, Bevan succeeds Edward Pauly, who retired at the end of June.
Bahia Ramos Named New Director of Arts at Wallace Foundation
Bahia Ramos has been selected as The Wallace Foundation's new Director of Arts, the foundation announced today. Ramos, who will oversee one of the foundation's key grantmaking areas, will join Wallace on September 6, 2018. She succeeds Daniel Windham, who is retiring at the end of September.

The $710,000 grant is earmarked for preliminary audience research and the first cycle of work will explore how to eliminate barriers of engagement for millennials and implement new strategies to involve and retain their participation for years to come.

NY Philharmonic Selected for Wallace Foundation Audience-Building Initiative
The New York Philharmonic has been selected for the New York-based Wallace Foundation's Building Audiences for Sustainability effort -- a new, six-year, $52-million initiative aimed at developing practical insights into how exemplary performing arts organizations can successfully expand their audiences. The Philharmonic has been granted $760,000 towards preliminary audience research and the first cycle of pilot projects on building millennial audiences for orchestral concerts.
IU Opens Art and Design Center in Colubus
Indiana University has formed a partnership with the Community Education Coalition of Columbus to establish a center in downtown Columbus that will specialize in teaching art and design.
The partnership to create the Indiana University Center for Art and Design-Columbus (IUCAD) was announced this morning (Dec. 17) by IU President Michael A. McRobbie and Columbus community leaders at the YES Cinema and Conference Center.
