Charlotte's Web, adapted from E.B. White's beloved book by Joseph Robinette, comes to the F. Otto Haas Stage from December 7, 2022 through January 29, 2023.

UW Drama Presents STATE OF THE THEATRE: STAGE AND SWORD
Whether it is a Shakespearean sword fight, a mock boxing duel, or a danced-out gang rumble, combat can be an essential and exciting aspect of live drama. A panel of experts in theatrical combat, led by University of Washington Drama School instructor Geoffrey Alm, will discuss and demonstrate the secrets of choreographing dynamic, suspenseful stage fights - while protecting the actors involved from harm.

Charlotte's Web is a heartwarming story of a special friendship between a lovable pig and everyone's favorite spider. When a runt pig is born on the Arable farm, the young girl Fern saves him and nurtures him. She names him Wilbur and helps him grow big and strong. Wilbur is moved to the Zuckerman farm where he befriends a batch of barnyard animals, including a talented spider that weaves words into her web that are crucial to saving Wilbur's life as the story unfurls.
UW Drama Presents THE SOUND & THE FURY, Panel On Sound Design
The actors' voices are not all you hear in a theatrical production. In most cases there is an array of other sounds too-recorded or live music that is incidental or central to the action, special effects ranging from the subtle to the monumental. The artist responsible for all this is the sound designer, and the Northwest is home to some superlative ones. In this third State of the Theatre forum, four sound designers will discuss the nature and practice of their work, and play audio and video samples of what they do best.
