San Francisco-based Kathryn Roszak to participate in 'Moving Forward - Women Ballet Choreographers East and West' at the 92nd Street Y Roszak will present excerpts from her 'Reverse Flow' and 'Emily Dances'
Kathryn Roszak Presents DANSE LUMIERE at 92nd Street Y

San Francisco's Kathryn Roszak brings her Danse Lumiere to share a program with other women choreographers from New York and California on the 92nd Street Y's Moving Forward: Women Ballet Choreographers East and West.  Two performances on Friday April 28, 12 Noon (on the Fridays at Noon series) and 8 PM (on the Dig Dance series) at the 92nd Street Y/Buttenwieser Hall, Lexington and 92nd Street.   Roszak will present excerpts from Reverse Flow, inspired by the geological shifts of the Amazon River, and Emily Dances, with poetry of Emily Dickinson.

Cherylyn Lavagnino, Artistic Director of Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance, will present a new, combination choreographic work, “Gender Shifts,” at 92Y's DIG DANCE Moving Forward: Women Ballet Choreographers East and West, on Friday, April 28 at 8pm, in the historic Buttenwieser Hall. Five female East/West choreographers will come together that evening to present a singular program of new dances and revivals. *Program below.

Dr. Phillips Charities Announces Kids Day

 Dr. Phillips Charities launches what hopes to be an annual event Dr. Phillips Charities Kids Day by providing underprivileged youth in Orlando an opportunity to enjoy a holiday show and a meal at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.  Dr. Phillips Charities chose four organizations who serve children in Orange and Osceola counties; Edgewood Children's Ranch, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, The YMCA of Central Florida through their Teen Achievers Program and the Kate & Justin Rose Foundation.
