Welton Thomas Pitchford has performed all over the country, from the Metropolitan Opera House to the Hollywood Bowl, as an actor, singer, dancer and master of ceremonies.
A proud Southern California native, Welton holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater from California State University, Fullerton. During his college tenure, Welton leaped, kicked and sang as a “Fork” in over 2,000 performances of Disney's Beauty and the Beast stage show at Disneyland. Since then, he has received critical acclaim and theatre league recognition for his work as an actor, including LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award and NAACP Theatre Award nominations and Best Actor Winner of the Inland Theatre League Award for his portrayal of “Curtis Taylor Jr.” in Dreamgirls.
In addition to playing a cunning music mogul, flamboyant secretary, sex-crazed nitwit, dancing fork, and jilted mama’s boy in National Tours and on dozens of stages across the country, Welton has enjoyed significant film and television success. Some of his Indie Film work has received praise at the Cannes International Film Festival and the New York International Independent Film Festival. Adding to his television commercial success, some of Welton’s other TV credits include, CBS’s Person of Interest, Criminal Minds, and The Young and Restless. He is also featured in a recurring role on ABC’s General Hospital.
Welton is a recurring guest artist at several theatre companies in Los Angeles and holds 7 Best Actor Awards from television, film and theater Casting Directors for his work in the prestigious Theatre Neo Monologue Festivals.
