Justin Hayward, best known as the singer, guitarist, and songwriter for British rock act the Moody Blues, will perform live in concert at the Southern Theatre on Friday, Oct. 20. Hayward's solo acoustic shows feature songs from The Moody Blues catalog as well as from his solo career.

Adapted from the Pulitzer Prize winning novel 'Tales of the South Pacific' by James Michener, this epic musical romance centers on a group of American sailors and Navy nurses stationed in the South Pacific during World War II. Arkansas native Nellie Forbush befriends and quickly falls for Emile de Becque, a French expatriate and plantation owner, and Lt. Joe Cable finds himself in a passionate affair with Liat, the young daughter of Bloody Mary, the local grass-skirt peddler. As the war against Japan escalates, reality sets in for both Forbush and Cable, who struggle to reconcile their unconventional love affairs with their long-held prejudices and insecurities.

Opera Columbus to Present LA TRAVIATA, 6/1-5
CSO Music Director Rossen Milanov will make his Opera Columbus debut directing the Columbus Symphony and Opera Columbus Chorus in Verdi's immensely popular work, La Traviata (The Fallen Woman). Directed by Mary Birnbaum, Associate Director of the Juilliard School's Artist Diploma in Opera Studies Program, this contemporary production will utilize enhanced lighting techniques to set the scene in modern-day Paris where Violetta Valery (soprano Andrea Shokery) boldly lives the convention-free lifestyle of an in-demand, affluent courtesan until she unexpectedly experiences what can ultimately dismantle it all-true love.
