For the past five years Vincent Marini has served as the Producing Artistic Director of Flat Rock Playhouse, The State Theatre of North Carolina. Author/Director: Zelda with Frank Wildhorn and Jack Murphy; My Favorite Things; Music of the Night; It Happened One Christmas; and My Own Song with Clint Holmes. Director: For The Glory; A Few Good Men, Guys and Dolls; The Buddy Holly Story, Celtic Christmas, Our Show of Shows, Cotton Patch Gospel, Les Miserables, Hank Williams: Lost Highway, Miss Saigon, The Fantasticks, The Last Five Years. Producer: Vincent has also worked with the staff and board to develop the popular "Music on The Rock Series" with more than seventy nights of original musical performances annually in the recently opened, 250-seat "Playhouse on Main," a new performance venue that will host close to 40 weeks of innovative programming in 2014.
Away from the Playhouse, Vincent recently developed a new international theatrical production with Base Entertainment (Jersey Boys, Phantom Las Vegas, Blue Man Group, Lion King) and Roy Miller (The Drowsy Chaperone, West Side Story, A Christmas Story) for Macau, China.
Other directing credits include: The Rock Tenor with Rob Evan and Morgan James at the Wilma Theatre, Waiting For The Moon (now Zelda) with Tony Award Winner Jarrod Emick and Lauren Kenendy, For The Glory (The Civil War) with Dan Cooney, Michael Lanning and Keith Byron Kirk, the international tour of Jekyll & Hyde in Concert with Rob Evan, Kate Shindle, Mandy Gonzalez and Julie Reiber, The Barrymore Awards for Theatre Excellence (2004-2008) and over thirty plays and musicals. Concerts with Patti LuPone, Stephen Schwartz, Frank Wildhorn, Linda Eder, Jim Steinman and many others. Vincent has served on the New Jersey Cultural Trust, The Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia Executive Board (Interim Executive Director in 2007), and most recently as an adjudicator for the North Carolina Theatre Conference.
