Review: ALL SHOOK UP at Crown Theatre
Rocking and rolling into Crown Theatre this month is ALL SHOOK UP, a delightful blend of Shakespearian comedies and 60s love stories all set to the songs of Elvis Presley. Rather than resting on stories and characters we know well, however, HAMA Productions made this their own and allowed the talented cast and brilliant ensemble to truly shine.
Review: CHICACO- A MUSICAL VAUDEVILLE at The Royale Theatre At Planet Royale
Vaudevilles traditionally lean far more on entertainment than on any moral or philosophical lessons, and the goal of Drew Anthony Creative’s production of CHICAGO (subtitles ‘A musical vaudeville) is simply that; a cast of entertainers, entertaining. It’s a goal they well and truly kick and that makes this production something to see.
BWW Review: THE WIZARD OF OZ at Crown Theatre
THE WIZARD OF OZ, and HAMA Productions pulled out all the stops to stage a spectacular production at Crown Theatre, with an entertaining, energetic and colourful production being a wonderful way to kick off 2022 in the theatre.
BWW Interview: Vincent Hooper of THE WIZARD OF OZ at Crown Theatre
It seems almost unavoidable to grow up without having exposure to the classic film The Wizard of Oz. It’s one of those movies that seems to find home in every collection, and the storyline is familiar to many. Starring as the Cowardly Lion is Perth born Vincent Hooper, who sat down to chat about the character, the show, and his other projects.
BWW Review: LEGALLY BLONDE at Crown Theatre
This production of LEGALLY BLONDE is proudly Western Australian, and features a cast and crew overwhelmingly based in or originating from WA. Whilst drawing principally from Perth may be a thing of necessity right now the performance lost nothing, and in fact seemed better for it.

BWW Review: THE MUSIC MAN at The Long Center - 76 Stars!!!
There is trouble in River City 'I-oh-way' (Iowa) circa 1916 and that trouble is a complacency so intense that the citizens are prone to repeating malicious gossip. Petty judgements have begun to erode the very fabric of this idyllic town threatening to destroy its 'Mark Twain meets Normal Rockwell' perfection.
