The Morris-Jumel Mansion will followup their sold-out run of Dracula with a beloved classic mystery in June. From the sordid streets of Victorian London, the game is afoot as literature's greatest detective, Sherlock Holmes arrives at the Morris-Jumel Mansion. Adapted for the stage by Steven Dietz and directed by Vincent Carbone, audiences will witness Holmes and his trusted confidant, Dr. Watson attempt to solve yet another conundrum before it's too late!

This spring, the Morris-Jumel Mansion in upper Manhattan will present an original production of 'The Importance of Being Earnest,' Oscar Wilde's farcical play set in Victorian England, in its newly reinterpreted Octagon Drawing Room, recently restored Sunken Garden, front porch, and portico.

The Morris-Jumel Mansion will offer audiences the opportunity to experience Lewis Carroll's acclaimed children's story Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865) like they never have before. Unlike many sesquicentennial celebrations of Carroll's beloved fantasy, the Mansion's adaptation will incorporate its celebrated association with the American Revolution represented in the characters of the play such as the Mad Hatter (George Washington), Cheshire Cat (Marquis de Lafayette), and White Rabbit (Benedict Arnold).

AWAKENING IN INK, Vincent Carbone's audience-immersive play about a young woman's encounter with the paranormal at Manhattan's oldest house, will play a four-week run at Morris-Jumel Mansion. Commissioned by the Mansion, AWAKENING IN INK previews October 15th and 16th, and opens October 17th. It features Hannah Kaplan, Constance Cooper, Carol Ward and Christopher Davalos. AWAKENING IN INK is written and directed by Vincent Carbone.
