Vince Wingerter is an AEA performer originally from Tacoma/Seattle now based out of NYC. His work has ranged from the National Tour of Mamma Mia! and a variety of lighter productions such as The Drowsy Chaperone and countless tap dancing musicals... to the other end of the spectrum with projects like Bruce in Fun Home and Jervis in Daddy Long Legs.

The holidays are about traditions - that special dish on the table, the favorite decoration that was handmade by your child, or a familiar song playing on the radio. And for many, nothing says tradition like watching a classic holiday film. Even though we take comfort in watching these familiar stories play out in the expected way on the small screen, for me, one of the special thrills of seeing a lot of live theater is getting to witness a timeless classic brought to vivid life on the stage. BWW Review: MARY POPPINS takes flight at Midtown Arts Center

As many of you might know, it is always a 'Jolly Holiday' with Mary. Poppins that is. This Practically Perfect Nanny first burst on the scene in 1934, in the children's books written by P.L. Travers. In 1964, the beloved Disney movie starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke was released. This is where most of us fell in love with Mary Poppins. Mary was once again transformed in 2004, when she was brought to life on stage in London's West End. While not especially faithful to the movie, the show morphs into a crafty Broadway musical. As with many Disney adaptations, new songs have been added, and you'd be hard-pressed to tell the difference between the iconic Sherman Brothers tunes and those penned by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. They fit flawlessly, and the up-tempo 'Anything Can Happen' is as good as anything from the film.

Yesterday, April 9, some cast members from the touring production of MAMMA MIA! visited Disneyland, and Alex Mendoza was kind enough to share some fun pics from his Instagram account. Leading the cast of 30 of MAMMA MIA! is Georgia Kate Haege as 'Donna Sheridan,' the independent single mother whose carefree past catches up with her on the eve of her daughter's wedding. Bride-to-be 'Sophie Sheridan' is played by Chelsea Williams; her fiance 'Sky' is played by Chris Stevens.
