BWW Review: Powerful, Thought-provoking FACELESS at Zeitgeist Stage Company
Zeitgeist Stage Company begins its 17th season with the East Coast premiere of Selina Fillinger's FACELESS, a play with a storyline that sits smack in the middle of the national zeitgeist. It pits a sheltered 18-year old white girl against a Harvard Law School graduate and practicing Muslim in a taut courtroom drama that is about much more than the charges being litigated. Terrorism and ISIS are on trial, but the face of a young American woman is symbolic of how the enemy is expanding its reach into our homeland via social media, and the attorney in the hijab is the unlikely government crusader chosen to fight back.

Now titled as A DEAD MAN'S DIARY: A THEATRICAL NOVEL, we are given the opportunity to experience this philosophical play by considering the turmoil when an artist and their art uncontrollably move further and further away due to commercial and political interests.

BWW Review: REALMS OF THE UNTOLD; Intriguing, if Not Fully-Realized Tales of Terror
Just in time for Halloween, Orlando theatre production company Dark Side of Saturn introduces a new collection of short plays collectively titled REALMS OF THE UNTOLD. The show, written by Corey Volence (Orlando Fringe's KEY OF E), plays through October 10th at The Venue. Clearly inspired by classic horror and terror anthology series THE TWILIGHT ZONE, REALMS OF THE UNTOLD boasts six fairly intriguing premises; however, the execution of each, in terms of writing and performance, varies greatly from scene to scene. The vignettes are ultimately an enjoyable precursor to the rest of the spooky holiday attractions around town, but they don't rise to the goosebump-inspiring level that you would hope to find in a show subtitled 'Six Tales of the Strange and Macabre.'

Miller has gathered a roster of nine estimable actors who provide the heart and soul to bring Crowley's types realistically to life at the intimate Plaza Black Box Theatre at the Boston Center for the Arts.
