DANCERS (SLIGHTLY OUT OF SHAPE) to be Presented on ALL ARTS
The Fisher Center at Bard has announced DANCERS (Slightly Out of Shape), a film by Liz Sargent documenting choreographer Pam Tanowitz and her dancers’ return to rehearsal in 2020 during the pandemic, which will be screened as part of ALL ARTS’ inaugural dance film festival, Past, Present, Future.

The Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts presents Pam Tanowitz Dance, streamed live from the Annenberg Center on Thursday, October 15 at 7 PM. Pam Tanowitz Dance makes its Philadelphia debut with four dancers in two works that illustrate her flair for taking classical movement and turning it on its head.

First published in the UK 75 years ago, Four Quartets is considered the crowning achievement of TS Eliot's career as a poet. Now three visionaries, Pam Tanowitz, Kaija Saariaho and Brice Marden respond to the four-part poem in a ravishing union of dance, music and visual art, as the entire work is narrated by American actor Kathleen Chalfant. A Barbican co-commission and European premiere, this collaborative performance of the work is the first to be authorised by the TS Eliot Estate. A production of Bard Fisher Center, Four Quartets premiered at Bard SummerScape in July 2018 to critical acclaim, The New York Times calling it 'the greatest creation of dance theater so far this century".

Works & Process, the performing arts series at the Guggenheim, presents a Works & Process dance and costume commission by Reid Bartelme and Harriet Jung with new choreography by Christopher Williams and Netta Yerulshamy in collaboration with NYU's Institute for the Study of the Ancient World's exhibition, Hymn to Apollo: The Ancient World and the Ballets Russes, on Sunday and Monday, April 28 and 29, 2019 at 7:30pm
Bard SummerScape Presents World Premiere of FOUR QUARTETS
75 years ago T.S. Eliot published Four Quartets, a poetic meditation on time and memory that is widely regarded as his crowning achievement. Now, to celebrate this milestone anniversary, Bard SummerScape 2018 presents the world premiere of Four Quartets, the first authorized dance performance ever to be based on Eliot's modernist masterpiece. A SummerScape commission, the new work is an interdisciplinary collaboration that draws on the talents of three of today's most potent artistic voices. Since making her acclaimed festival debut at SummerScape 2015, Pam Tanowitz has been recognized as "one of the most formally brilliant choreographers around" (New York Times), with honors including a Bessie Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the prestigious 2017 Cage Cunningham Fellowship.
Kennedy Center Announces DEMO: NOW
Damian Woetzel continues his innovative interdisciplinary series uniting artists from across fields in a special one-night only performance, March 7 in the Terrace Theater. Part of the inaugural DIRECT CURRENT, the Kennedy Center's two-week celebration of contemporary culture, this installment of the multi-genre series will present recently commissioned works, including a world premiere, and Washington, D.C. premieres by some of today's most creative and groundbreaking voices in dance and music.
Elizabeth Keen Joins Program B Cast Of SOAKING WET
The Soaking WET series is pleased to add guest ELIZABETH KEEN to the cast of Program B. The veteran artist will perform her 'the Song and the Short of It,' a words-and-movement solo that takes a bemused look/attack on what's going around. The new dance joins earlier talking solos 'Recipe' and 'Red Sweater Dance.'
West End Theater Presents the Soaking WET Series
