BWW Review: NSFW at Santa Fe Playhouse
Ever get to the theater, expecting to laugh, cry, think and be moved? This is not one of those times. I would like to say that NSFW at the Santa Fe Playhouse ran that gamut of emotions for me, but I would be lying. BWW Review: STOP KISS at New Mexico Actors Lab
A review of the original 1998 production of Diana Son's Stop Kiss refers to the play as a 'small treasure' - not intended as a slight, but I think in reference to the beautifully, movingly simple nature of the script. BWW Review: THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST at The Santa Fe Playhouse
Oscar Wilde's 1895 satire, The Importance of Being Earnest, is arguably his most popular, and almost definitely his most widely performed, work. Director Barbara Hatch's director's note references the daunting nature of taking on the challenge of producing such a beloved and well known work; it is my opinion that, with few minor issues, Ms. Hatch and her cast more than did the piece justice.
