BIO
Vanessa is an award-winning New York City-based costume designer who truly enjoys the art of collaborative storytelling. Some recent designs include: Sex With Strangers (Capital Repertory Theatre), Money Talks (Davenport Theatre), The Time Machine (The Acorn Theatre) Nomination, Best Overall Design NYMF 2017, Midnight at the Never Get (Dustin Sparks Productions), DISENCHANTED! National Tour (Starvox Entertainment) Previously Off-Broadway, the show received a 2015 Outer Critics Circle nomination for Outstanding New Off-Broadway Musical and her designs earned an American Theater Wing Henry Hewes Costume Design Award nomination.
Ms. Leuck has previously designed for DISNEY ON ICE, Off-Broadway, at several regional theaters and colleges, as well as with professional dance companies. She was a select designer invited to participate in the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab 2013. She was chosen for an exclusive internship with Walt Disney World as a sketch artist and designer for it’s theme parks and resorts 2003-2004. In addition to her design work she has assisted on several large-scale productions including THE LITTLE MERMAID (Broadway), RINGLING BROTHERS BARNUM AND BAILEY CIRCUS (five productions), DISNEY LIVE, and DISNEY ON ICE.
Vanessa is an Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts at Borough of Manhattan Community College- City University of New York and a proud member of USA 829.
