To safely reach the widest possible audience, Theater for the New City (TNC) and Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre (CAMT) have converted their upcoming performance of 'A Christmas Carol, Oy! Hanukkah, Merry Kwanzaa' (December 22 to January 2) from live performances to virtual (online) only. The show will be available on-demand beginning December 22 at 8:00 PM and run through January 2, the length of the previously scheduled run.

Adapted, directed and reinvented by Vit Horejs, it features over 30 puppets by Milos Kasal including a quartet of Rockettes in Slovak, Moravian and Ruthenian folk costumes and holiday songs in Czech, English, Hebrew, Slovak, Spanish and Swahili.

Croatia's Acclaimed PERFORATIONS FESTIVAL Opens Tonight at La MaMa
Croatia's acclaimed Perforations Festival returns to New York November 17 to 26 with a diverse slate of genre-blurring performances by artists from Central and Eastern Europe. The 2017 festival will feature seven productions over ten days including U.S. premieres by Bruno Isakovic? and Mia Zalukar, Via Negativa, Ina Sladic, Magda Stawman-Tuka and Anita Wach, Jasna L. Vinovr ki, and Marta Zi ?ek. The Great Jones Repertory Company's 2015 work Pylade, directed by Ivica Buljan, will also be presented. Perforations is curated by Zvonimir Dobrovic? and presented by La MaMa with an opening performance at Abrons Arts Center.

In the era of alternative truth, it is timely to revisit three 1960s national traumas which are shrouded in dense cobwebs of multiple conspiracy theories: the assassinations of President Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Rev. Martin Luther King. To elucidate them with puppet theater wisdom, Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre revisits these tragedies in 'The Life and Times of Lee Harvey Oswald,' conceived, written and directed by Vit Horejs.
