“No matter how old you get, love, longing, jealousy, and hope remain constant” -- Sunset Park by award-winning writer Joseph Vitale kicks off the Summer Season at The Theater Project (TheTheaterProject.org), a leading incubator for rising talent and a showcase for New Jersey artists. The company is returning to Maplewood's Burgdorff Cultural Center, 10 Durand Road, with a packed schedule of new and lesser-known work.

WONDERFUL LIFE: THE RADIO PLAY Comes to The Theater Project This Month
A twenty-year tradition unbroken by theater closures thanks to Zoom technology, IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE: The Radio Play, returns for live, in-person performance Thanksgiving weekend, November 26-27. This old favorite is popping up in a new location in Summit, NJ, at the Oakes Center Theater, 120 Morris Avenue, where The Theater Project will recreate the Lux Radio Theater circa 1947 as twelve adult actors, five kids, a musician and one extremely overworked sound technician prepare for the big radio broadcast of the story made famous in the Frank Capra film.

The Theater Project will present Kaleidoscope Kabaret, an evening of short plays from its Playwrights Workshop This annual showcase of new work will be offered this year on Zoom, Friday and Saturday November 20 and 21 at 7:30 PM.

From 1978 - 2012 at Immaculate High School, Somerville, NJ, he taught English, Drama and Creative Writing.
KALEIDOSCOPE KABARET Returns At Union Hall This Month
Comedy and drama are on the table with the turkey this Thanksgiving, when Kaleidoscope Kabaret, an annual program of short plays by the members of The Theater Project's Playwrights Workshop comes to Union Center, November 23 and 24. Two of the plays in the program are about the joys and woes of the approaching holidays.

The Theater Project to Host Staged Reading of WORLD'S END, 6/21
When Michael John McGoldrick joined The Theater Project's playwrights workshop in 2012, he was working as a high school English teacher; three years later he was accepted to the graduate theater program at Arizona State University. Home in New Jersey this summer, he will discuss his transition and his newest play when The Theater Project stages WORLD'S END as a script in hand performance, 7:30 Tuesday evening, June 21, at the Burgdorff Cultural Center, 10 Durand Road, Maplewood, NJ.
