Valerie, a beloved star of the stage and screen, has played a wide variety of leading roles in Canada/Europe. Favorite stage roles include Sophie Tucker (critically acclaimed solo show), Shirley Valentine and a very popular Mother Superior in Nunsense. Recent credits: Widow Corney (Oliver!), Cecelia Weiss (Houdini). Favorite role for television: Principal Durst (“Strange Days”). Also voices Mrs. Bear (Nelvana’s “Rupert the Bear”).

Jamie Farr Collapses During Rehearsal of JACK OF DIAMONDS; Ian D. Clark to Step In

81-year old Jamie Farr has been replaced by understudy Ian D. Clark, in JACK OF DIAMONDS at Theatre Aquarius, after a collapse while rehearsing.  He was taken to hospital where he required urgent surgery for a blocked artery.

Producers Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatrical Productions and Cameron Mackintosh today announced full casting for the Toronto engagement of MARY POPPINS. Toronto's most eagerly anticipated stage production will begin performances at the Princess of Wales Theatre on Thursday November 10, for a limited engagement of nine weeks, through Sunday January 8, 2012.
