LITTLE EYOLF to Make UK Premiere
The National Theatre of Norway returns to the UK for the first time in 18 years with Little Eyolf, one of Ibsen's major but rarely performed prose plays. Director Sophie Jupither puts the child Eyolf at the centre in this production, probes the complex question of how our children fit within our adult relationships - and shows that Ibsen's people speak strongly to us today.
Scandinavian American Theater Company to Celebrate Lars Noren's 70th Birthday on 5/19
Producer Bo Corre, translator Marita Lindholm Gochman and Scandinavian American Theater Company, are presenting LARS NOREN TODAY: HIS WORK AND HIS WORLD on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 7pm at the Lynn Redgrave Theater in New York City. There will be a reading of selected scenes from his latest play 3.31.93. The version is being directed by Sofia Jupither who directed the world premiere at the City Theater, Stockholm in 2013. Norén's 'War' Makes US Premiere with Rattlestick Theater, Begins Jan.31
Rattlestick Playwrights Theater continues its 13th anniversary season with the American Premiere of War, the internationally acclaimed play by Lars Norén, Sweden's most prolific playwright. Performances begin Thursday, January 31st, 2008. Opening night is Monday, February 11th at 7pm. The show will run through Sunday, March 2nd, 2008.
