Ghostlight Ensemble Goes Online For Season Four
Ghostlight Ensemble announced its Season 4 lineup, which brings back two popular offerings and introduces a new reading series of historically overlooked female playwrights. This season the company will present its offerings online, with the hopes of moving back to the stage in the summer of 2021.

BWW Review: SWEET CHARITY at Theatre In The Park (Indoors)
Opening this past Friday was the Theatre In The Park, indoor, community theater production of 1966's 'Sweet Charity' The show is best known for several Cy Coleman/Dorothy Field songs that have long survived the play's original run and several revivals. The most well-known tunes are 'Big Spender,' 'If My Friends Could See Me Now,' and 'There's Gotta Be Something Better Than This.'

16-year-old Cyd (Jessie Pinnick) decides to take a break from her depressive single father and spend a summer in Chicago with her aunt Miranda (Rebecca Spence), a well-known novelist. Soon after her arrival, Cyd encounters Katie (Malic White), a young barista behind the counter. The two make plans to meet up after Katie's shift and a new, charged relationship begins. The Chicago landscape expands, and we navigate intimate and fragile moments between Cyd and Katie as they explore their new attraction. Miranda functions as a counterpart to young Cyd's new explorations of sexuality and love, and as the summer continues they develop a strong relationship founded on a shared openness and healthy criticism of particular personal moments.
MoMI Presents Stephen Cone Retrospective and PRINCESS CYD
Museum of the Moving Image will present the New York theatrical premiere engagement of Princess Cyd, the 2017 BAMcinemaFest hit from Chicago-based writer-director Stephen Cone, starring Rebecca Spence, Jessie Pinnick, and Malic White. Concurrently, the Museum will present Talk About the Passion: Stephen Cone's First Act, an early career retrospective of Cone's work, highlighting features such as Henry Gamble's Birthday Party and The Wise Kids, all preceded by selections of the director's shorter work.
