Ty Stover is a proud member of Actor’s equity association, the union for professional actors and has been an independent theatrical professional for the past 34 years. An actor , director , playwright, vocalist, voice actor, teacher, and coach resides in Indianapolis, IN. After years as a gypsy living in and working out of NYC doing tours, regional work, dinner theatre, stock, and children’s theatre, after 9/11 he found himself “back home again in Indiana”. Tromping the stage at Beef&Boards Dinner Theatre, where he has been honored to have served in over 60 productions since 1987.
He was Lee Randolph/Mister on the first national tour of Sunday In The Park With George, Ross in the 10th anniversary off-broadway production of The Elephant Man and a multitude of characters performing for audiences in all 48 of the continental United States.While in NYC he studied with HB Studios and directed, T-Bone ‘N Weasel, Greater Tuna, Romeo And Juliet, 5 Floor Walk-Up, How I Got That Story, Ah HA!, and a score of cabarets.
As a director and writer he has created nearly 70 projects for The Lilly Theatre @ The Children’s Museum Of Indianapolis (22 productions), The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, The Indianapolis Opera, The Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, The Children’s Theatre Institute, Beef&Boards, iNDY fRINGE, Prather Entertainment Group, Circa ‘21, Mill Mountain Theatre, Indiana Department Of Education, NSF, Indianapolis Downtown Inc., The Arden Theatre Union, Galveston Island Outdoor Musicals, Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre, Theatre On The Square, Marian University, Broad Ripple High School, Charlestown High School, University High School, North Central High School, Greenfield High School…
