THE QUEEN OF EVERYTHING Set for The Celebration of Whimsy Theater
The Queen of Everything: A F*ckloric Folktale, is a sexy, avant-garde theatrical production inspired by Alpine fairy and folk tales, created by Trixie Little, the current Reigning Queen of Burlesque. The story begins with the innocent milk maid, Trixie Littlewurst, who is held captive by the demands of giant Cuckoo Clock. Trixie longs to be free from her repetitive existence, until a chance encounter with a mysterious old beggar woman launches her on a surreal adventure deep into the dark forest. Traveling with her two shape-shifting assistants, The Nightmares, Trixie goes on the ultimate heroine's journey to retrieve the crown that will buy her freedom. Classically modern, tragically comic and poignantly pointless. Set to a live, original score by the psych-mambo quartet, Gato Loco.

For the first time, LIBERTY BELLE has partnered Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night Swing, for even more dancing, and live big band music; plus several of our performers will be featured on the Lincoln Center stage, and LIBERTY BELLE is the official July 4th after-party!

Following sold out performances in LA and a critically acclaimed run at the undergroundzero festival in 2009, comes the Off-Broadway premiere of Pinchbottom's PRETENÇIÓN, UN CIRQUE DE BURLESQUE, UN BURLESQUE DE CIRQUE, a satiric new play that looks at the pomp and spectacle that is 'Cirque' theatre. Pinchbottom's PRETENÇIÓN is written and directed by Jonathan Van Gieson, co-directed by Jeremy X. Halpern and began preview performances March 31 prior to an official press opening of April 14 at the Elektra Theatre (669 Eighth Avenue, btw 42nd and 43rd Streets) in Times Square. The Butterfly Club announced on 11 January that it had achieved its $130,000 target to relocate from South Melbourne to the city centre. The bulk of the money raised has come from two arts foundations as well as a critical $23,700 raised from hundreds of fans following a six week crowd-funding campaign.
