BIO

Trish Causey is the Editor/Publisher of Musical Theatre Magazine (http://www.MTMag.co) as well as Host/Producer of Musical Theatre Talk with Trish Causey.

She is a writer/composer of stage works as well as a freelance writer, a production stage manager, and a private teacher and workshop presenter on a variety of topics including vocal technique, audition prep, scene study, and stage management. Her other passion is being a human rights activist, especially for the protection of the First Amendment, women's rights, body autonomy, and equality.

For nearly three years, Causey was the Guide for Theatre on About.com and was a frequent writer of cover stories and feature articles for Stage Directions Magazine.

In 2008, Causey earned a $4,000 Artist Fellowship in Music Composition, $5,000 in Artist Recovery Grant (Hurricane Katrina), listing on her state’s Artist Roster, and South Arts’ regional Artist Registry. Her original musical, Witchcraze, was featured at the 2009 Women Playwrights International Conference in Mumbai, India, and selections from her opera, Two Hearts, were showcased by the Metropolis Opera Project in NYC in July 2011.
