Fertile Ground Announces GROW AWARD Winners For 2021 Festival

For its sixth year of offering plays by contemporary Irish playwrights to Portland audiences, Corrib Theatre announces a three-show season: Hurl by Charlie O'Neill, Four Last Things by Lisa Tierney-Keogh, and How to Keep an Alien by Sonya Kelly. Corrib's play selections feature internationally produced, award-winning Irish playwrights, whose works resonate throughout the world stage. Artistic Director Gemma Whelan will direct Four Last Things and How to Keep an Alien, Tracy Cameron Francis will direct Hurl. The company's 2018-19 productions will be held at New Expressive Works, 810 SE Belmont St., Portland.

TCG Announces Recipients of Rising Leaders of Color Program
Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, is pleased to announce the participants who have been selected to participate in the second round of the Rising Leaders of Color (RLC) Program, supported by Meyer Memorial Trust and Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Entertainment. Building on learnings from the 2016 Washington, DC program, the second round of RLC will focus on early-career leaders from Oregon, this year adding a theatre criticism/journalism track.

TCG Reveals Latest Round of Global Connections Recipients
Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, has announced the recipients for the latest round of Global Connections. Supported by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, this grant program encourages reciprocity and cultural exchange through ON the ROAD grants to foster new relationships with international colleagues and IN the LAB grants to further pre-existing international collaborations. Now in its fourth year, this round of the Global Connections program awarded a total of $33,045 to seven projects through ON the ROAD and a total of $30,000 to three projects through IN the LAB, with over $400,000 awarded to date.

Mona Mansour Receives 2014 Middle East America Distinguished Playwright Award
Silk Road Rising, Golden Thread Productions, and Lark Play Development Center are proud to announce that Mona Mansour, author of Urge for Going, The Hour of Feeling and The Way West, has been chosen to receive the 2014 Middle East America Distinguished Playwright Award. Honorable mentions went to playwrights Bianca Bagatourian, Ismail Khalidi, Daria Polatin, Mishael Shulman and Zohar Tirosh-Polk.
