Tor Hyams is a Grammy®-nominated producer and songwriter with over 20 years of experience in the music industry—from writing and performing his own material to producing world-class recording artists (Lou Rawls, Isaac Hayes, Debbie Harry, Perry Farrell, Adam Pascal, Joan Osborne, Rachel York, Vivian Campbell and Edwin McCain) and composing dozens of scores for both film and television. Additionally. In musical theater, Tor, with his partner Lisa Rothauser, has written Stealing Time, Greenwood The Musical, How We Do, with Backstreet Boy Howie D., Ensemble, a collection of letters by Tennessee Williams, The First Annual Trump Family Special, ‘til midnight with book writer John Cariani and is currently working under commission on a musical adaptation of Green Acres. Tor also co-founded and produced Kidzapalooza and Austin Kiddie Limits, the two largest, live family music festivals in the country. Tor has also written and produced several television shows, including productions for Endemol USA, FOX and Warner Brothers.

In an unprecedented season of five new works in its six-show subscription season, the third new work in the series, Senior Living, opens this Friday, January 28 at 7:30 pm. Initially slated for the 2020-21 season, the show was postponed due to the pandemic.

Portland Stage has canceled its 25th Anniversary live, in-theater production of “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens due to the rise in COVID-19 community transmission coupled with breakthrough cases within its community. A digital on-demand stream will be available for viewing from December 18 through January 4.

Which one is he? He is Howard Dorough, known as 'Howie D,' a member of the multiple Grammy nominated, gold and platinum selling boy band, the Backstreet Boys. Because of the frequency with which he has been mixed up over the years with singers from NSYNC or Menudo, Howie has written a song entitled, 'Which One Am I?' which humorously pokes fun at the mixups. Howie, however, knows who he is.

The production is composed by Grammy nominated songwriter Tor Hyams and Broadway veteran Lisa St. Lou. The running time is a swift 65 minutes. www.trumpfamilyspecial.com
