The 42nd Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards were handed out in front of an enthusiastic audience tonight at The Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre in the Elgin Theatre. Hosted by award-winning actor and director, Sabryn Rock, the gala ceremony celebrated excellence in Toronto theatre, dance and opera. The ceremony, which unfolded with characteristic razzle-dazzle, caps one of the most tumultuous periods in the history of Toronto performing arts.

The Toronto Fringe Festival has announced programming for the Digital Toronto Fringe Festival July 21 - 31, 2021. Taking place completely online, Toronto Fringe 2021 will present over 65 shows in four virtual series including the Fringe On-Demand series, KidsFest On-Demand series, Fringe Primetime series, and POSTSCRIPT Live(stream) events.

Arlicia McClain Named New Artistic Director for Halcyon Theatre

THE TORONTO FRINGE FESTIVAL returns this summer with an extensive line-up of productions by award-winning artists, the popular POSTSCRIPT pop-up patio, and for the first time, will venture to the East End with 16 shows presented at main venue Streetcar Crowsnest. The TORONTO FRINGE takes place July 3 July 14, 2019 with 151 shows at 46 venues presented across the city, and all venues are fully accessible.
The 30th Toronto Fringe Festival Launches Itself Into The Next 30 Years With Record-Breaking Sales
The 2018 Toronto Fringe Festival boasts the highest ever ticket revenue, smashing the new records set during the 2017 festival. 66,301 tickets were issued to theatre-loving patrons over the 12-day festival. As Fringe returns 100% of net box office revenue, this means that $531,293.50 is going straight into the pockets of the artists. Ticket prices were raised this year from $10 + services fees to $11 + service fees, which contributed to the increase in revenue.
