MacDowell Awards Spring-Summer Fellowships to 142 Artists
MacDowell will welcome 142 artists from 23 states, Washington, D.C., and 11 countries for spring and summer residencies. These Fellowships at the nation’s first artist residency program were granted from a pool of 1,822 applications from 54 different countries and every state except Hawaii.

Megan O'Keefe of Concord, California will be honored at the 30th Annual L. Ron Hubbard Achievement awards being held on the 13th of April 2014 in Los Angeles at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre. The event will celebrate the annual winners in the L. Ron Hubbard Writers and Illustrators of the Future Contests, where Megan was the 4th quarter, first place winner for this year, making it further than some several thousand others, and where her winning story will also be published in the bestselling Science Fiction anthology series - L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume XXX. As Megan is a 1st place winner, she will now compete with the other 1st place winners (four in all) for the grand prize of $5,000.00.

As part of the studio's 90th Anniversary celebration, eight of Warner Bros. Pictures' greatest gangster films - from Edward G. Robinson's 1931 classic Little Caesar to Martin Scorsese's Oscar-winning masterpiece The Departed[1] -- will now be available in two Blu-ray sets May 21. Released to coincide with Father's Day gift-giving, the WB genre greats, along with one of Paramount's best gangster films, will be offered in the Ultimate Gangster Collection: Classic and Ultimate Gangster Collection: Contemporary.
